SCC Meeting Notes February 7, 2024

PTA Notes

  •         Assemblies have been planned.  Feb 16- Story Weavers, March 8- Urban Indian Center, April 25- Ballet West
  •         2 Spirit Night: Chic Fil A- Feb 20, Classic Skate Night- March 7
  •         School Carnival will take place in May, will still split the proceeds with the PTA

 

Land Trust/TSSP:

  • First reading of Landtrust and TSSP
    • By May 2025, 75% of all students in Kindergarten will show typical or above typical growth as measured by Acadience Reading in Nonsense Word Fluency- Correct Letter Sounds.
    • By May 2025, 75% of all students in 1st grade will show typical or above typical growth as measured by Acadience Reading in Nonsense Word Fluency- Correct Letter Sounds.
    • By May 2025, students in 2,3,4,5 grades will show typical or above typical growth as measured by Acadience Reading.
    • 85% of Kindergarten students will show typical or above typical growth on Math Pathways as measured by ALO.
    • 75% of 1,2,3,4,5th grade students will show typical or above typical growth on Math Pathways as measured by ALO.

 

Action Plan:

  • Land Trust funds: will be used to hire 4 instructional assistants to work one-on-one with students concentrating on reading and math. ($67,100 total investment)
  • TSSP funds:  will be used to hire a second instructional assistant to work with second language learner’s full time.
    • we will also hire two instructional assistants, one that will work 15 hours and the other will work 7 hours a week to support ($71,280 total investment)
  • Cell Tower funds: will be used to hire 2 part time instructional assistants ($11,360 total investment)

  • Acadience: From latest testing
    K- 94% of students are at or above grade level
    1- 75% of students are at or above grade level
    2- 74% of students are at or above grade level
    3- 80% of students are at or above grade level
    4- 55% of students are at or above grade level
    5- 84% of students are at or above grade level
  • CORE5:
    • School just went through a reset

 

School Items: 

 

Concerns: We talked about the Elementary Planning Time Proposal.  Hoping for implementation by the start of school 2024-2025 school year.

 

Celebrations: 

  • Our Acadience scores are fantastic!
