September 2, 2020 – Minutes

Land Trust:

• Using money for full time aides
• Used to help with math interventions and reading support.
  • 3 full time 35 hrs
  • 1 part time aide 20 hrs

Behavior:

• 6 behavior issues this year
  • 4 on playground
    • Not touching friends. Use air hands
    • Communication with peers
  • 1 child pushing back with the masks
    • Working on that now with teacher and student.

Attendance:

• All over the place
• 8 children have been exposed through family members

School Items:

• Parent teacher conferences
  • Some type of meeting schedule
  • Book fair (virtual for people who don’t feel comfortable)
    • Maybe additional hour for book fair
    • Online purchasing.
  • Online (for sure) or in person/ but there will be a schedule
• No teachers are online teaching
• 95% as an intervention program ($300) however, we are already using Saxon as whole group and intervention
  • SPED has made growth every year so why change what is working?
  • Plan was made in spring if by Fall it is not working then we can reassess.
• Can we use $3500 from cell tower budget to buy 95% for the SPED program
  • Voted and passed
• Second grade curriculum has now added keyboarding
  • Can Camie have 20 more Chromebook $4900 and the licenses for all the apps.

  • Restorative practice has been working
  • Teachers have access to use as supplement for the year
• Carnival

Concerns:

• We need more parent members
• Needs behavior assistants
• SPED teachers
  • 11-2:30.
  • School Safety
• Wireless earbuds

Next Meeting:  First Wednesday at 4- October 7th
