Crescent Elementary
October 9, 2024
Attendance: Madison Sansom, Nicole Harman, Kimberly Ranney, Tyler Germer, Kierstin Draper, Emily Dyer
PTA Notes: The fundraiser is on! It’s off to a great start
Land Trust/TSSP: Additional Funds to Vote on:
We have been allocated an extra $25,000 in our TSSP fund, and there is also an additional .5 more in hiring allocations in our general fund (0050).
-We want to direct this money towards student support which could be an MTSS behavior assistant (kid coach) and/or a recess aide.
In order to fund a full-time behavior assistant, Mrs. Draper can pay for two interventionists out of 0050 and then use the land trust funds to pay for the behavior assistant (kid coach).
-A motion was made by Tyler Germer to put the additional funds toward a Kid Coach or teacher’s aide.
-Emily Dyer seconded the motion.
-All members voted yes.
Action Plan: Review & Approve Safe Walking Routes Plan
-There is some construction above the park that blocks the sidewalk on 11000. Students need to cross through the park at 350 E.
-Faculty and safety patrol students are currently manning the crosswalk on Crescent Oak Way, which appears to be municipal property. A request for a city crossing guard will be put in.
-Another entrance to the back field along Crescent Oak Way may help prevent parents from driving into the bus lane in the mornings, and students walking through soggy grass in the winter.
Behavior: No Discussions this month.
Academics: Fall Data Review will be shared in November
School Items:
- Parent Teacher Conferences were Monday and Wednesday this year, overlapping with middle school and high school. We will request feedback on this during our November meeting.

- Our fundraiser is off to a great start!
