Crescent Family!

First of all… I want you all to know, I hope everyone is happy and healthy! Please reach out to me if there is anything I can do to help you or your family!

Our school website will have the latest and greatest information, specific to what we are doing here at Crescent. Most of the information can be translated. If your home language is not an option, please contact the school and we will get that changed.

The school will continue to be open to families from 9:00AM-12:00PM. I am usually in the building. If you need technology and are unable to meet with in the time frame, please contact me and leave a message on the school phone @ 801-826-8200, or knock on the office window.

We will have lunch and breakfast for children 18 years and younger Monday-Friday. Children must be present to receive foodservice. Both may be picked up from 11:30AM-12:30PM. There will be no lunch or breakfast during Spring Break, April 6-10.

We will continue to check out computers. Please contact your child’s teacher if you need technology. We want to make sure that every family has a device. We are limited on what technology, we can check out, but do not want anyone to go without. At this time, when it comes to technology we are focusing on a 3 students to 1 device. If you would like to be placed on the wait list, please email or leave a message for me on the school phone.

Wednesday will be our announcement for Teacher of the Year! Please visit our website to see the announcement!

Teachers have worked really hard for the past several weeks focusing on what students need to know to move forward and be prepared for their next school year. Each grade level has spent incredible amounts of time developing lessons and practice to help our students feel and show success. The district is pushing out lots of great information to help families familiarize themselves with programs and supports. Teachers still feel like they need to supplement the online curriculum with paper to pencil practice.

We are creating a pick up and drop off process for paper/worksheets and consumables. We have 6 coolers that will have the grade level above them. The coolers will be chained to the chain link fence that runs along the north side, of the north parking lot. The grade level coolers will be filled and ready for pick up Friday, April 10, for families to be able to pick up packets.  Students will start online learning with teachers on Monday, April 13.

After this first pick up, the inside of each grade level cooler will be divided in two, one side to pick up new work and a side to drop-off completed work. Teachers will fill the coolers with work for the students for the next week on Fridays.

Folders will be used to pick up work and drop it off once it’s completed. At this point all, “must do” and “show what you know” work needs to be completed independently so teachers can assess what needs to be retaught. Please do not return unfinished or incomplete work. If students need additional time, it’s ok. Just turn the work in the following week.

On this first pick up, the students will collect a ziplock bag with their first name and last initial. They will be alphabetized by first names, always. The bag will have the pick-up and turn in folder that will rotate each week, as well as, the supplies that can stay at home.

Thank you!
