Fall Data Review – See Attached Data
- The district’s goal is 80%- which leaves a lot of room for growth. Our population includes a lot of multilingual students that are new to the country, as well as ACC students that are receiving SPED services. Our focus this year will be on the Pathways of Progress data which measures academic growth.
- How are needs of all students being met?
- Every student is using iReady. iReady is an online platform to provide personalized instruction in math
- Every student receives whole group instruction where everyone gets the same information
- Small group instruction is where students receive scaffolded support to fill in gaps, or enrichment to challenge where needed.
- Kindergarten scores are the lowest- students are coming in with a lot to learn.
- Post-covid behaviors are becoming increasingly hard to manage in the classroom.
- Post-covid absenteeism is a big issue, requiring teachers to catch students up.
- Many MLs are struggling to make progress. Professional developments are in place to support teachers with their instruction.
- iReady Spanish will be piloted at Crescent to help ML students learn in the primary language on school provided Chromebooks.
School Items:
- Parent Teacher Conferences were Monday and Wednesday this year, overlapping with middle school and high school. Parent Feedback on this schedule is requested from the SCC:
- A parent shared they felt like doing in person each day was too much. They are leaning towards doing virtual conferences in the future, due to students in multiple school levels.
- The bookfair made $400 less, which is not a noticeable change. It went well!
- PTA shared it was easier to do the book fair with a day in between.
- Teachers liked the day in between conferences to rest and get organized.
