PTA Notes:
Land Trust/TSSP: Review of this year’s goals.
Action Plan:
- Small group “Walk to Read” program begins Monday, September 23
- Teachers will complete the Fall SRSS-IE data to review students’ social emotional needs.
Behavior:
- ROAR Rules have been simplified & updated schoolwide
- We now have a School Based Mental Health therapist available one day a week in partnership with Hopeful Beginnings.
Academics: Fall benchmark testing is complete, so next month we will be able to have a data review!
SCC Training Dates: SCC Training 2024-25
September 18, 2024:
- 9 a.m. – 9:45 Basic SCC Training for new members and those wanting a refresher
- 10-11:30 a.m.: General SCC Training for all members
October 3, 2024:
- 1-2:30 p.m. General SCC Training for all members
- 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. Basic SCC Training for new members and those wanting a refresher
- 6:30 – 8 p.m. General SCC Training for all members
October 8, 2024:
- 10 – 11:30 a.m. General SCC Training for all members
- 6 – 7:30 p.m. General SCC Training for all members
*all of the above trainings will be in the Canyons Center at the District office, 9361 S. 300 East, Sandy
School Items:
- Parent Teacher Conferences are Monday and Wednesday this year, overlapping with middle school and high school. Parent Feedback on this schedule is requested.
Concerns: We are still trying to hire some paraeducators for our ACC classes. We currently have three positions open.
Celebrations:
- We are off to a great start with several new programs beginning: PBIS Rewards & iReady Math.
- Our new Assistant Principal Kimberly Ranney joins us at Crescent Tuesday, September 17.
Action Plan:
- The BLT (Building Leadership Team) attends their first day of district training Tuesday, September 10. This will provide them training to support them in leading their teams in PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) throughout the year.
